Tamizhan Oil

In 1975, Mr. K. Subramaniyan embarked on a pioneering journey in the oil industry by starting a rotary oil and oil cake business in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. Initially, the business focused on selling oil and oil cakes without a brand name, laying the foundation for what would become a renowned family enterprise.

Mr. Subramaniyan’s legacy was carried forward by his distinguished son, Mr. S. Kathirvel, who expanded and transformed the family business. Leveraging over three decades of experience, Mr. Kathirvel redefined the company’s trajectory by venturing into the production of edible sesame oil. In 2006, he launched ‘TAMIZHAN Oil,’ marking a significant milestone by introducing sesame oil in consumer-friendly packaging under a brand name.

Under Mr. Kathirvel’s leadership, ‘TAMIZHAN Oil’ quickly gained prominence as a trusted name in the market, becoming one of Tamil Nadu’s largest producers of cold-pressed sesame oil. With a commitment to quality and tradition, TAMIZHAN Oil continues to uphold the family’s legacy while meeting the evolving needs of consumers with natural and high-quality cooking oil.
